Richard O’Neill comes to Lighting Unlimited with a diverse, 20-year background in the electrical business. Rich’s education in the electrical industry began with the General Electric Corporation in which he received an invaluable education in inside and outside sales, as well as management. Most recently, his primary focus was selling large, national lighting projects. Rich comes to Lighting Unlimited to serve central Ohio’s design community, electrical contractors and distributors. Rich looks forward to applying his knowledge and experience to all aspects of the agency business and serving the Columbus market.

Derek Varney offers Lighting Unlimited over 15 years of experience in the area of electrical & lighting design. As the Vice President of Specifications, Derek is responsible for ensuring that the specification community is educated on the latest lighting & control solutions. With his background in engineering, Derek identifies with specifiers regarding the various phases of a project from conceptual design to construction.

Jeff has serviced the Columbus market since 1982 and has spent the last 12+ years with Lighting Unlimited. Although he specializes in Specification Sales, Jeff is seasoned in all facets of the local market. Key groups include working with distributors, design build contractors as well as state & private sector owners.

Alan has provided Lighting Unlimited with over 15 years of service. With his strong distributor background, Alan specializes in Distributor Sales & Promotional Stocking Programs.

Melanie focuses her strengths in the specification market calling on Architects, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects & Engineers. She has worked in the lighting industry for 18+ years in the Columbus, Cincinnati and San Francisco Markets.

Jeff comes to lighting unlimited with over 20 years of experience in Theatrical, Networking Controls, Bacnet System Commissioning/Startup and DMX Programming. Jeff has worked with lu on a contract basis for 10+ years. Jeff is a controls specialist but he cannot control himself.

Julia Goelz is a dedicated employee of 15+ years. She specializes in Office/Project Management and Customer Support.

Dedicating over 13 years to the lighting industry, Ellen White is a fun and energetic employee that requires little introduction. Her eagerness to assist and her perfectionist approach are two qualities that make Ellen such a valuable project manager and customer support specialist.

Nick Yanko, while new to the lighting industry, is a very seasoned sales professional. His work ethic and positive attitude are key in his role as project manager and customer support specialist.

Chris brings 28+ years of experience from the Distributor Sector. Chris is a former Adjunct Instructor in Lighting Design, a Theatrical Lighting Enthusiast and holds a Lighting Specialist Designation from Ala. Simply put, Chris is a Lighting Geek, and we love her for it!

Fresh out of college, Dan is the newest and youngest member of the Lighting Unlimited team. He double-majored, graduating with a degree in economics as well as a degree in political science. With great enthusiasm and desire to learn, he has a promising future in the lighting business.

Cheryl is a vibrant asset to Lighting Unlimited. She is the friendly voice you hear when you call and dedicates herself to Customer and Office support.

Adam Rajczyk is an asset to Lighting Unlimited. He has vast knowledge of the lighting industry and experience in sales, quotations, and applications.

Lizzy Smith is the newest member of the LU team. Relatively new to the industry, she has proven to be confident, motivated, and an extremely fast learner.
